I fish and play a lot in Port A and I love staying in all of the locally owned cottages. I avoid the chain hotels i.e. Best Western etc. which are fine, but I prefer the charm of the locally owned and operated strange little places that you can find for a lot cheaper than you would think. The Beach Lodge is one of my favorites for sure. You can get breakfast in the bar in the morning, they have a great deck with a view, pool and the best part is the beach access from the front. You can drive up and park in the back of the lodge and the front opens up through the dunes to the beach. This is especially awesome because you don't have to take your vehicle onto the sand if you don't want to. I always have a great time at the Beach Lodge.
