Don't expect to live here for more than a year unless you're ready to shell out...wait for it...15-18% more in rent the next year. They bring you in with a great offer and then essentially push you to leave after the first year of promotional rate if you can't afford the (at least) 15% rent hike. I was able to swing it, albeit begrudgingly. They have no problems pushing people out, because there's a line at the door of 20-something guys and gals who want to feel like they've ""made it"" by living so close to Coors and having the average-to-just-above-average new building amenities. Oh yeah, and some of us/them have balconies where it's really easy to throw crap like eggs and drinks and food down at people on the street and not get in trouble for it. Trust me, I've witnessed this for more than a year. Building security? Yeah, that's a complete joke. Be ready for vomit and all kinds of other surprises in the elevator on your way down to work in the morning. Overnight security consists of a dude sleeping on a plush couch in the locked ""party room"" in the lobby, nowhere near the front door or security systems. Check the TwentyOne 01 Facebook page. 13 people are fans as of today. Yep, only THIRTEEN people have liked it - and there are 200+ apartments in this building, with probably over 500-600 people having rented here each year for the past 2+ years. I'm guessing all those THIRTEEN Facebook fans are employees?? Embarrassing. Tragic. Foreshadowing? I should have trusted my gut and stayed away. I'll be the first to admit, they have the nicest looking show apartments in the area, but management is beyond reproach in their dealings with tenants, and facilities are not well-kept. Management makes it very clear that they don't need you as a tenant - seeing as there are dozens of people wanting to, and willing to, be raped by the management company for every last penny. A nice living space doesn't make up for reprehensible attitudes and policies in the leasing-slash-management office. Is there a building supervisor? NO. 24-7 support line? NO. If you have a problem, it better be during office hours, unless there's a broken pipe, and then you should call the pager of the poor janitor guy. PS - why is there a security desk in the lobby when I've literally NEVER seen someone sitting there in my 18 months of living here?!?!?! Add to that, management posts signs in the elevator implying that the tenants are irresponsible when there's absolutely zero after-hours security, no cameras in or near the elevators, and management leaves street-facing doors unlocked ALL the time. I mean, that's assuming the electronic locks are actually working. Usually, the electronic locks on the doors don't work. Moving as soon as I possibly can, and won't look back. more
