I have been getting my hair cut by Gaire Ebben for over 20 years now. I have followed him from Lake Calhoun, to an Aveda Salon and now where he currently styles hair at The Hair District. I took a sabbatical from Gaire, in hopes that I could find a stylist locally. You see, I have been living in Wisconsin for about 8 years now. I tried every Salon up here (in the Ashland, Bayfield, Washburn area) to no avail. It seems most stylists are afraid to cut short, curly hair. Either they don't cut it short enough, or they cut my hair like a man. It was my husband who said to me, ""You need to go back to Gaire for your haircuts"" and surprised me by setting up an appointment for me this summer. I felt like I was home again. Jamie at the front desk is so helpful and sweet. She has been working with Gaire since the beginning. A bright and big space, a friendly atmosphere, and personal attention. Best of all, I get the greatest, sexiest haircut ever!
PRO's: free parking, great atmosphere, experienced stylists
CON's: price is not like a Wisconsin haircut (under $20) but it's worth it anyways.
