Half the employees are black at a jewish army navy store.... racism is a little hard to come by. If you are a criminal, perhaps store associates following you around may feel a little intrusive. I call it good service when a salesman is right on top of the action to help you out with whatever you need (or whatever you may need). Interested in that item? Let me see what we have in stock- going to buy it? Here I'll put it at the front desk for you if you want to continue shopping.
For those with a serious inquiry- I think its the top army navy store in the area- 3 floors with plenty of items at reasonable prices. I havent been to another with such a large selection. I cant say its the best since I havent been to every army navy store in the area, but I will say you wont regret going (unless youre black).
Bernard is the guy who works behind the bag check counter and he'll watch over anything you bring into the store be it bags or jackets, but omg he only treats me well because Im white (or maybe because Im not shady). Oh wait hes black too.
The store is in center city- there are alot of lowlives that can easily make their way there in an attempt to steal things. If you dress, act, or look shady expect people to keep a close eye (shoplifting happens quite often in the city). Its not because "omg Im black RACISM!" when the store accomadates several black employees
