Complete rip off !!!! 6/30/2011

Had an accident on Lake Mead and Rock Springs. Slid into a BMW and crunched in my headlight. While the police were writing me up my Coolant started leaking. Saw Absolute across the street so drove over to ask a mechanic how bad it was. Curtis, a very friendly and reassuring man offered to pressure check the radiator and find the leak for $65. I called back at closing on Friday and Curtis said no leak probably a bent radiator cap. He would replace it. And the battery was cracked. He would replace that to. I asked how much and he replied ""not much but it has to be done"" I stopped him and said don't do it unless you can tell me how much for a battery replacement. Curtis said he would call me Saturday with a price. I asked if he or his guys could fix the body damage. He replied mechanics don't like to sand and he had nobody he could refer me to. Saturday came and went along with my 3 calls to his ""Cell Phone Number"". Monday morning I showed up at the shop to find out what was going on with my car. Curtis presented me with a $225.49 bill for the ""radiator flush"", new radiator cap, new battery, and a ligjht bulb installed inside the smashed headlight. I was furious, wanted to call the cops right then and there. But how can you fight the shop. I payed the bill with my credit card and immediately called the credit card company to file a dispute. When I got home the radiator cap is still leaking. I opened the cap and THE RADIATOR HAD BEEN FILLED WITH WATER.. Not coolant WATER.... The radiator is leaking from a crack in the fill spout. I would have had Curtis put a new radiator in and fix the headlight if he had said I needed that. He could of had a nice repair job. Instead he choose to rip me off for $225. Absolute Auto Care should not be in business just because they open shops in your neighborhood. LAME !! more
