Don't trust Roger Jobs!!!
I think it's pretty lame and unprofessional that you folks “sold” the 2010 Jeep Rubicon you took in on trade April 6th 2011 from John K****** when you knew I had been waiting in the wings for weeks to buy it. It was made very clear to you by John that I was waiting to buy it and Byron had verbally agreed to sell it to me yet once the deal was done with John. However, it was immediately passed on internally without so much as a courtesy call or even an apology. According to Byron, it was the owner of Roger Jobs Motors Inc. who snatched it up for himself which makes it even more unprofessional. Did he know a customer was waiting and an agreement had been made to sell this vehicle? Apparently “the customer comes first” doesn’t apply at Roger Jobs.
I quote Byron…, ""well he is the owner and I had to give him first right of refusal and he wanted it for himself because it has leather. I can sell you his older model jeep instead though"". It's clear now that you had no intention of selling it to me yet you didn't even have the decency to be upfront about the arrangement so I could have continued my search for another vehicle. Additionally, it was a slap in the face for Byron to insult me by turning right around and suggesting I purchase the owner’s older model throwback instead! That was real cool!!!
In case you have forgotten, you are in the business of selling cars to your CUSTOMERS not blowing them off keeping them for yourself. I feel what took place was cheap and underhanded. This kind of business practice contributes to the reason ""Used Car Salesman"" is a cliché for dishonest!
Here’s a cliché for you, “It takes years to win a customer but only seconds to lose one”. You may have only lost one customer today but I will certainly pass on my experience with Roger Jobs Motors to all my friends and family up North and anyone else that I can inform of your deceptive practices.
