Hats Off to the new owner, staff and chefs who are so pleasant and so eager to please! My family and I attended the Easter Brunch in the Conference Center. Our server was wonderful. The plentiful variety of foods kept us going back to the buffet for more. The Chef himself was carving and serving the ham and turkey and happily placing each slice carefully upon our plates until we said ""OK"". The pastries made by their own pastry chef were scrumptous. The entire wall of windows allowed us the relaxing view of Lake Monroe; which enhanced our dining experience. The Conference Center is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner which we will be frequenting after such a great experience. The prices are more than reasonable for their menu items. Just stopping by for a drink or two and listening to entertainment on Thursdays and/ or Fridays is something we are looking forward to. The Marina Island in the historic part of downtown Sanford is where Lake Monroe Old South, Motel and Restaurant is located. Truly, this is a wonderful area to spend a few hours or even an entire day or evening since there is so much here within walking distance. I guarantee there is something here for everyone.
