My new fiancee and I were grossly mistreated at this shop. After explaining to the sweet girl working at the desk that we did not have an appointment because we had just gotten engaged, were planning on having the wedding very soon, and the area we wanted to purchase a dress in the area because the selection where we live is less than impressive, she happily allowed me to use a back room to try on the dresses. We thanked her repeatedly and wholeheartedly.
She has made me never want to dress shop again. If a bride with an engagement ring and a fiance cannot get respect as serious purchasers, how can a bride alone or a bride with girl friends possible be respected.
She ruined my beautiful first day of shopping and has made me dread dress shopping again.
The dresses were in the grungiest of conditions, with ragged edge, ink pen marks, and broken zippers.
We quietly carried our dresses (two at a time) to the back and replaced them, after I had tried them on. We had tried on 4 dresses (and replaced each of them). Despite their ragged appearance the dresses were lovely.
As we were replacing the 4th dress a woman came up to us and told us ""Ok, it is time to stop playing now."" We stared at her in disbelief. She continued to spew out a slue of degrading comments. We had been nothing but respectful, asking before we did anything, so I was mortified at her belittling responses.
