In 2010, my partner and I had decided we would completely redo the living room with new paint and furniture. We wanted something of a modern interpreation of mid-century style and looked at various places around Houston. We saw an ad for Chic Warehouse in a local magazine and decided to check it out because it is close to us.
There is a good, but not exhaustive, selection of furniture. Someone wanting a wide variety of styles like Fingers or Star should look elsewhere. But we loved what we found here because so much furniture everywhere else is large and oversized. We needed furniture to fit our small home and, among things, wanted smaller armrests for the sofa and chairs. We found a number of items that we really liked and found out we would be able to customize the fabric on each piece. The owner was helpful and made recommendations but was never overbearing.
It took about 6 weeks for the furniture to arrive. Yes, it would have been nice to get it the same day, but that just isn't going to happen at most stores and definitely not when you have the fabric customized. The prices, the courtesy, and the quality of the pieces will certainly take me back to Chic Warehouse when I consider purchasing other items for the house.
