For years, I've been insulted at this store 12/23/2011

I would not recommend Sportsman's Den In Shelby, Ohio to anyone for any reason. Only because of the proximity to Shelby, I have been going to this store for a few years now, and every time I swear it will be the last. But last night (Dec. 22, 2919) has convinced me never to return. The best way to show my point is to just write what happened. Upon arrival, I walked into the store and past two women who were laughing and b.s.ing at the register (the door is right next to them). They had no customer, but not only didn't they greet me, they totally ignored my existence. I walked back to the gun counter and stood waiting for the employees who were there to at least acknowledge me. I stood, and stood while the 3 employees were b.s.ing with customers (2 had bought something, but one 'customer' just seemed to be a friend who dropped by to say 'hi'). OK, if they have questions about a product, NO PROBLEM-ask as many questions as you need to. Curious, I meandered towards each so I could overhear their discussions. One customer was holding an AR15-type weapon, while he and the employee bashed Obama. Another had stopped in the middle of doing paperwork and was complaining about crime and gun control. The last employee was just generally yacking with some guy who didn't look like a customer-talking about the weather, fishing, his son, their hunting dogs, etc. Even though I was within 5 feet of each, not one of the employees even looked at me. I settled in and just waited at the counter with my arms crossed, listening. 25 minutes passed, and still not recognized by anyone. Now comes along a fourth employee, passes me by, and waits on a customer who had-at that instant-walked to the counter. I TOLD the kid that I had been waiting 25 minutes, and that I was next. They both ignored me and went on talking. Ok, fine, screw them if they don't want my money, but on the way out, I asked one of the women at the register (who were still yacking) to get a supervisor. So, here comes one of the employees who had IGNORED me and asks what my problem was. Not ""can I help you"" or something like that, but what my 'problem' was. I told him what was going on, and he denied everything. He became angry and practically accused me of lying, insisting that all the employees were ONLY talking about the customers purchases, and they could take as long as they wanted. (Of course he would say that, he was one of the worst). I saw he didn't care, so I said that to him, and told him to have a good day. As I left, I heard him and one of the register women laughing at me. I stopped and told them that Fin, Feather, Fur Outfitters in Ashland, Ohio was too close for any customer to put up their crap, then I left. I then drove east about 20 minutes to Fin, Feather, Fur in Ashland. After I entered, it didn't take 5 seconds for an employee to greet me. On my way to the gun area, I was asked by 2 other employees if I needed assistance. When I arrived at the gun counter, within 20 seconds (I was counting mentally), an employee (who was busy) said he would help me shortly, but I didn't have to wait for him because another employee came up immediately and took care of me. I had been in the store less than 3 minutes and I was addressed by 5 employees. Not only does Fin, Feather, Fur in Ashland have MUCH more to choose from (and better prices) than Sportsman's Den in Shelby, but they actually CARE about the customer. Where do you think I, my family, my friends are going to go from now on? more
