Stay Away from This Company! They Lie & Rip off People!!! 11/3/2011

Stay Away from This Company! They Lie !!! I call this company for a simple job to place the pipe that is outside the wall into the wall int recessed box. Nice lady on the phone informed me that they charge hourly rate of $125 and next appointment is in the week. So I scheduled an appointment. On the scheduled day a very arrogant employee should up at my door saying that he doesn't have any paper work and has no idea what i need to have done. So I told him just the same I told the receptionist on the phone and showed the pipe that required work to be done. He said he needs to go back to the truck to see if he has all necessary equipment and he will quote me. In about 10 min he came back and said that it would cost $425! When I asked why this much he said it's the labor plus parts PLUS THE TIME HE NEEDS TO GO AND GET PARTS as he doesn't have them with him !!! I was shocked and decided I better double check and asked him if I understood him correctly and he wants to charge me for his driving time because he came unprepared. Guess what, he said ""yes, that's how it works"". UNBELIEVABLE !!! Their employees come to the site unprepared and they charge people for driving time !!!! I told him no, I do not need his services and let him go. However, I was so shocked and upset that I wasted a week that I decided to call the management. Same receptionist answered the phone and when i explained my problem she put me on hold. In about 5-10 min man's voice picked up the line and asked me again how he can help me. Turned out this was the owner. Apparently, This is a Small Greedy Company ! After I explained him all situation he said ""well, for this job we have a flat rate of $425"". My guess would be he used that 5-10 min while I was on hold to call his service guy and coordinated situation with him. Bottom line, I spoke with 3 different people from this company and they all gave me different information ! If you have a flat rate for this particular job that I have explained clearly from the beginning then why you tell potential customers that you charge $125 per hour? Is it so customer schedules an appointment and then has no choice but to go with your ridiculously high ""flat rate"" because they might have no more time to wait for another appointment with different company (gladly not my case)? In the end, I had this job done by different company for $195. So, think twice before you decide to call them. more
