I took my car into the Car-X in Uptown a handful of times in the past 2 months, and each time I left with more issues than I went in for. After having them replace a wheel bearing two weeks ago, I was hearing noises in that same wheel just a week later. So I took it back in to Car-X to have them look at it. Suddenly, they said I needed things in my transmission fixed. They quoted me $860 to fix it and told me the car was undrivable. When I took my car to another shop for a second opinion, they told me that the noises I was hearing were due to loose lug nuts on the tire that Car X had fixed the wheel bearing with. NOTHING was wrong with my transmission. Not only had Car-X not done the job properly or safely the first time, they tried to take advantage of me when I went back with the issue. The manager, Ben, is one shady dude. Shame on them for trying to take advantage of a female!!
