I have known Amrid and Tony Thayer for around 25-years. Since I do home inspections and engineering reports on foundations for home buyers, I have seen many pest control technicians at numerous homes. I have probably done around 5000 home inspections with Amrid. In addition, Amrid does work at my personal home. I know Tony Thayer, the owner, and many of his people. So I know whereof I speak.
There are many good termite / pest control companies in Houston. Amrid is certainly one of the very best. All his people take the time to do a first class job. There is no one in Houston that is better than Tony Thayer at explaining to home buyers what they are getting into (with respect termites, etc.) and what is required to correct the situation.
If a home buyer or owner asks Tony to do something he does not think is the right thing to do, he will simply turn the work down.
One of the things Tony and Amrid does is that if they do a termite report for a real estate transaction and the new owner finds active termites within 90 days, he will treat the whole house for free. That is extremely generous since termites could show up at any time. There may be others who do this but, if so I do not know who it would be.
I have worked with Tony at home shows where he spent much of his time telling home owners how they could take care of certain problems themselves without professional assistance.
I have never had any reason to complain with the work Tony and his people have done at my home. They do what they promise to do. They do it when they said they would and they do it for the price they quoted. And they do their work in a professional and knowledgeable manner. You cannot ask for a better pest control service.
