I found an injured mourning dove in my backyard near our birdfeeder, and with many cats and dogs roaming the area, I wanted to find a way to save it. I called my own vet and was informed they do not deal in birds, but was given the number for BVC. The receptionist was very polite and offered that if I could catch it, they would take it & if possible, rehabilitate it to be released back into the wild. My little girl was so worried about the "little birdie" that I asked that someone call me to let me know how it was doing. To my suprise I DID receive a voicemail just a few short hrs later informing me it had a fractured wing and they had sent it with a local "rehab" person to nurse it back to health, :) I am very impressed with how they handled this when I am not even a customer !!
