It was a "dad/son" night out for dinner this evening with my 4 year old after picking him up from preschool (Goddard School). Feeling guilty about spending too much time at work, I asked him what he had learned today. He proceeded to tell me about the savanna and the various animals that live on the African plains. "Very impressive," I thought to myself! Then much to my surprise, completely out of the blue, he correctly identified that the featured instrument playing in the background music was a trumpet AND that it was jazz! "Where did you learn THAT?" I asked. "Mr. Jereme & Ms. Amber (his teachers) - they always tell us about music," my son responded. \r
I think my son is bright but must say that I'm constantly amazed at the wonderful job this school and its teachers are doing to challenge and engage his curiosity. He looks forward to going to school and is happy when I pick him up. After an evening like this, I'm feeling less guilty about working too hard and very thank
