I don't know when we started excepting bad customer service as the norm but I have had enough. I have been in customer service for over 20 years now and I refuse to except rudeness from a waiter or anyone else that works with the public.
It all started when we got to Mellow Mushroom and we ordered our food. It didn't take long to get it, but our waiter was aloof and too busy chatting with the other people who worked there to even notice that we needed our drinks refreshed so I asked the other waiter if he could get us a water and a coke. I never realized how much of a bother for a waiter waiting on customer could be. He took our drinks with an attitude and then slammed them down onto the table and walked away.
My husband and I at that point finished our lunch and I asked for the check from our waiter who then took 10 minutes to get the check and my credit card back to me.
I use to go here once a week for lunch and believe when I say ""use to"" is now the NORM for me when it comes to this restaurant.
Advice to waiter and all people who work with the public..check your attitude at the door, Keep your home life home and do your job, which is all about having customers come back so that you have a paycheck.
Oh and one more thing the only reason I did not have a FIT in the restaurant was because one of my customers from my job had just gotten there and I was not about to ruin his lunch and make him think that it was the NORM for me to be a difficult customer.
Pros: Good food but not good enough to come back
