This place rocked. Sometimes it felt like the entire neighborhood sat around there on the weekend mornings/afternoons. The line was long and the chairs were full but it was awesome. The baristas had your drink ready by the time you got up to the counter. They knew everyone's name, they even knew my dog's name.
Then the new owner fired them all with 2 hours notice, they'd been there for many years. He said they would steal from him if he gave them more notice. The neighborhood won't go in there anymore. The living room of Brooklyn is now a soulless testament to his stupidity.
Pros: that other neighborhood folks are staying away also
Cons: that it hasn't changed management again yet
