R Bar is a bar that aims to please. With the goal of being YOUR neighborhood bar, the owners created an environment that has all of the toys and games...Golden T, video machines, darts, trivia nights and internet juke box. Soon they will enhance the bar by adding TVs to draw in sports fanatics and televise all major sports events. The sign still says Velvet Lounge so if you go by in the next couple of weeks, don't be alarmed. The R Bar is right next to Los Cucos on Memorial and happens to be the ONLY bar between downtown and Loop 610 on Memorial. A great respite from the traffic on the way home from work.
