I called at 0900 on a Saturday morning, this time of day I would expect a salon to be most active, to get the basic's for my particular needs. There was an answer machine. Granted there is a website but websites do what they are intended to do, give board information. I was hoping to get service on that particular day. The owner who identified himself such returned my call at 5:30pm and was borderline confrontational. I asked specifics and he would continuously ask me ""do you have a computer? have you been to my website?"" When I wasn't sure of the directions to his salon he asked ""do you know where the liquor store is?"" Personally I don't agree to a $50.00 consultation fee. Why would a fee be necessary if he quote, ""tell me what you want before you come and I'll do it"". I don't think so.
