Katrina is the owner of the shop and I've been going to her for years for haircuts. Recently, I've been getting highlights, too, which I love. She's extremely consistent, is knowledgeable and has her own opinions, but also listens to what you want. So many of her clients have come from friends telling friends which speaks to how well-liked and respected she is. You would never steer your girlfriends wrong when it comes to their hair!! I also like that you get the full salon experience, but it doesn't have a stuffy, snobby feeling like some salons. And I have friends that have tried several different stylists there when Katrina wasn't available and they have all been good. If you're in the Valley, it's a very convenient location and there's plenty of street parking as well as a few spots in the back. I highly recommend Blue Velvet!
