This place does not care about the well-being of animals 4/13/2010

I am the owner of a dog who was hit by a car on S. 1st in front of this awful vet. The good people trying to save her brought her immediately in to this vet, who promptly declined to care for her, even look at her, because they were more concerned about money than the suffering of an animal. This dog, Gracie, was very special to me as she was inherited from my mother who passed away one month ago suddenly. I am completely appalled that there is a vet out there that cares so little about the suffering of animals, especially one that is obviously well tended to with a microchip and a collar and has an owner that would foot a vet bill. THIS PLACE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, THEY CARE ABOUT YOUR MONEY. I would have paid anything to save this dog, but because I was wandering the neighborhood searching for her and did not know she had gotten hit by a car, the vet declined to save her because I was not there with a credit card. Gracie passed on on the way to Town Lake with the wonderful good citizens who cared enough to pick her up off the road and offer her comfort in her final minutes. I am truly devastated at this loss and my only comfort is that she was with people who cared, none of whom were the people at this shameful vet clinic with no moral or ethical compassion for the suffering of animals. I am in the process of investigating whether this willful neglect of my puppy constitutes animal cruelty as they allowed her to suffer in unimaginable ways before her death. If you care about your animal, or the welfare of other animals, do not bring your pet to this horrible place. Everyone who works there should be ashamed of themselves... Pros: nothing Cons: everything more
