I recieved a fruit basket this weekend. The basket looked like it was a childs Easter basket with the very long narrow handle. The fruit was not fresh. I received 2 badly bruised mac apples, 2 granny smith apples, 2 pears which were shriveled at the tips, 2 very hard plums, 2 very hard nectarines and 2 oranges, once of which was part green and both very soft. One mango, which was rather odd, I would think bananas over a mango. Strawberry hard candies and what appeared to be a butterscotch type candy was scattered about, and the fruit was in straw filling and taped to hold it together. Sadly, it looked like a child put it together. Clear celophane was gathered at the top and an unattractive small bow was tied. Clearly this florist is not in the business of making fruit baskets. It looked like they ran to the grocery store and quickly picked up what ever they can find to put it together, No care or thought appeared to be present in this basket. I advise anyone not to consider purchasing a a gift basket or fruit basket from this florist. Doing so would be a tremendous embarrasement. I dont have the heart to tell the person who purchase this for m because I dont want them to think I do not appreciate the gift. This is my only way to stop anyone from being in the same situation and not to use this florist.
