This is a unique and wonderful little shop. One that I hope survives a very long time. Her shop is a secret little haven that I have shown to friends whenever I want to surprise them about what Houston has in its nooks and crannies. Lucia's Garden is not just a little retail shop, it is an experience filled with ethereal sound, scents, and visions that beg for you to take a part of home.
I have never seen diversity in her staff, they always fit a soccer mom mold and rarely are they Black, Latin, Asian; or male for that matter. Her markups are in excess of what you could find on the internet, of course. Yet she does maintain a selection that is often unique, thus not easily found on the internet.
The truth is I have not been in a while, but I have been going to this shop since it was the Moon Cottage behind what was her home in a garage apartment (1980's). It has always over the years retained a warm inviting feel. Lucia's Garden inspired me to become a Massage Therapist because all the wonderful things sold there would be perfect in a day-spa.
Pros: Just about everything is wonderful here..
Cons: Well it would be nice to have a little diversity.
