Stated simply, the management company doesn't care at all about the upkeep of their buildings and units. We lived here for two years, and will soon be running away, after having continual issues with a leaking roof. Ceiling tiles have fallen, water is leaking into the unit, and the response of our super is---I'll stop by tomorrow (the tiles fell on a Sunday after a poor repair job by him the prior week--the issue has been ongoing since we moved in). Classy. I wonder if he'd have the same response if it was his unit? Very cheap price given the location and size of the unit--but you do indeed get what you pay for. Save yourself the headache and move a little farther out of Cambridge center or pay a bit more to stay close.
