I thoroughly enjoyed my driving lessons with Genesis 1 Driving School. By the time I was done, I felt like I was adequately prepared to be a safe and confident driver.
I took driving lessons when I was barely old enough to get my permit and Ernesto was my driving instructor. He was incredibly patient with me and never freaked out if I did something that wasn't the best idea or most the skilled maneuver. I really appreciated the fact that he made me feel relaxed by carrying on a normal conversation and he really cared about the things that were going on with my schooling, family, and etc. While he was teaching me to drive, he would have me pull over in a neighborhood somewhere in Newhall and bring out a white board and marker. He used the white board to illustrate the proper way to got through an intersection, make a U-Turn, or whatever. Being able to see what I was supposed to do made it much easier to remember in the long run. He also taught me in stages. In each lesson I learned something new and a little more difficult than the previous lesson. He had me build new concepts off of things I already knew how to do so that it wasn't overwhelming and he never pushed me to do something that I was too scared to do at a given moment. He was always timely and professional and never rescheduled. Everything was well organized in each lesson and he knew the roads from Newhall to Acton like the back of his hand, so I never felt lost.
I really enjoyed learning how to drive through Genesis 1 Driving School and in the end, I passed my driving test the first time with a great score.
