My neighbor pointed out that my front tire was WAY past due for a change-out (oops!), so I headed on down to Marty's, where I have been before. This place is no nonsense. Nothing is clean or pretty. And the work takes place outdoors. I told them I wanted a set of 2 front tires. The man told me I only needed one (!!!). He showed me a fancy one for $79. I told him I wanted the cheapest one that I could find because I plan to sell the car. 20 minutes later I am out the door with my new (used) tire w/ about 70% tread left- all for under $40. And that includes tax, mounting & balancing, & disposal of my sad old tire! Discount Tire charges $16 just to mount & balance. And Big O charges $20. Thanks Marty's!
