Ladies: if you think you've run out of places to look for guys in Boston, look no further. Green Briar is 90% guys on the weekends - and while every bar will have its share of skeezeballs, most of the guys here seem to be the guy-next-door type. On the weekends, half the bar is a dance party and the other half has tables and booths to chill with friends. It is a $5 cover on weekends for the DJ/band, but the smaller/intimate dance floor is wicked fun. The drinks are well-proportioned alcohol to price - $4 Coors Lights, and $7 mixed drinks. (Try a mind eraser - so good here!) A fun place to hang out with friends, and also a fun place to meet people. My only complaint is how early they close - last call is at 12:30am; since we don't even get there til about 11pm, we only have an hour and a half to enjoy.
Pros: Great dance floor, young crowd, affordable drinks
Cons: Cover charge, early closing, far from BU
