Friends and I met at Carnegie a couple weeks ago after work, and one, who was wearing jeans with athletic shoes, was advised he wasn't welcome unless he was wearing proper shoes and a collared shirt. We ended up having to leave and go elsewhere, and were charged a $10 tobacco consumption fee. Not a big deal, but it wound up costing up far too much as a result for two drinks and a pack of Marlboro Lights for another friend of mine.
The space is nice, comfortable, well laid out and maintained and the staff is friendly and easy-going; aside from the smell of stale cigar smoke, it's an ideal destination especially after work for a cigar and a drink. It's a bit pricey, and they should have deleted that $10 fee, but otherwise, we'll go back and we'll enjoy our cigars and drinks there again without hesitation.,
