A tenant was sued this summer for $50,000 after she wrote that an apartment was moldy. Another blogger was ordered to pay $1.8 million after calling someone a failure. People have the right to free speech but never have the right to defame someone. The general rule is that you can be held responsible for spreading false statements that hurt someone's reputation, or business. If you state anything other than the facts, be prepared to be held libel.
