Drew me in through craigslist.
Initially we were scheduled for 3pm, but they stood me up. I was told another client added items, so they would be late and to wait for 4:45pm. I was then called a little before to be told it would be 5pm. At 5:20pm I called, they told me they had had an accident on the highway and were on the way at the moment and would be there by 6:00. At 6:10pm I contacted them and asked if they were serious. They told me the truck was right down the street. At 6:30pm I called again and I was told that one of the crew (charles) was bitten by a bee and taken to minor emergency. I finally told them to come by 7:30 or forget it. They showed up at 7pm.
They gave me a fixed estimate for 2hrs minimum at 45$/hr, so $90 total. My move took 15 minutes. When i wanted to add items that would fill more of the paid time, they told me there would be additional charges. At the end, they demanded an additional fee never mentioned for ""coming out"" ($20) and demanded a $1 tax, which he then waived because he couldnt produce change for my $120 (he wanted $111, took $110). He couldn't produce a receipt when asked. I emailed the management complaining of the extra hidden fees and fake tax charges, at which point they claimed to have no record of our previous email and asked for the receipt they failed to produce for me as evidence.
Aba moving are scam artists, beware!
They also have about 4 fake reviews over at google maps. These people are atrocious, and they need to be shut down.
Cons: Late, Overcharged, Lied, Misrepresented, and more
