So many heartbreaking stories all sounding the same. My 6 yr old cat woke me up at 3 am moaning and panting -- I saw bloody fluid on the bedding. I immediately got dressed and took her to Dove Lewis. Her blood-pressure and temperature were both low. They gave her IV fluids and talked to me about the probable cost of finding a diagnosis and treatment -- more than $2500. I did not have the money, but offered them a down payment and making payments for her care. They refused and suggested a better alternative would be euthanasia. I was devastated and humiliated, but felt I had no choice. To this day, I don't know what was wrong with her. She was playing and eating normally the day before. I wrote Dove Lewis a check for almost $400 for her care that morning. I will never recommend Dove Lewis to anyone and am angry that they have fund drives for charity cases -- who are those cases?
