Went on a Saturday night, around 8pm. The inside looked nice. The carpet was very dirty, looked like it hadn?t been cleaned all night, with crumbs and old keno slips littering the underside of the table across from us. The food came out, I had scallops, and my date had chicken piccatta. We both agreed that the food was ok, at best. The butternut squash was delicious, though. The entire meal was pretty much ruined when there was a commotion at the table next to us. They had seen a rodent under the aforementioned table across from us. Sure enough, he was brazen and unfazed, and continued on with his mousey business. That was when we stopped eating. He was there for the entire time that we remained (which wasn?t too long, 10-15 minutes or so). The wait staff was all well aware of the rodent (they couldn?t help but hear everyone?s comments, even if they had tried). One couple walked out, we waited to talk to the waiter. He apologized, and didn?t charge us. The most curious thing was there was no manager or owner interaction at all. The wait staff pretty much ignored the rodent, acknowledging it only if asked about it. They even reset the table that he was under. We thought about sticking around to see if they would seat anyone there, but decided it was time to permanently end our relationship with the Westside Grille. I?m hardly squeamish about such things, but the longer we sat there, the more I could only imagine the state of the kitchen at night, when no one was there to keep the more timid of his cousins at bay.
