A Good Place to bring out of town guests

Wednesday, March 04, 2009
I dined here on February 23 and would recommend this establishment to my closest friends and relatives. My out of state guest and I were served by David, who was friendly without being familiar, and attentive without being intrusive. He epitomized the caliber of staff one hopes for and expects in a fine dinning establishment. My guest and I each enjoyed a 10 oz petite fillet cooked to our specific tastes and served at optimum temperature. I had the Caesar salad and my guest the mixed greens salad. Both salads were expertly prepared with very fresh ingredients and arrived with a compliment of breads. For sides I really enjoyed the Romanov Potatoes (It was like a big puff of fluffy scalloped potato with cheese) and my guest the garlic green beans which were crisp and delicious. The ice cream desert was billed as hand made, implying "in-house". Even though it was premium quality I have my doubts as they tasted like my favorite Blue Bell flavors. Dinner was served with a bottle of Faust Cabernet Sauvignon. I don't remember the year. It was what one would expect at $105.00 a bottle and I returned home with the re-corked bottle.
