Authentic Mexican Cuisine is not easy to find! Miguel's impresses even the salsa-savviest connoisseur!
The colorful and unique architecture of Miguel's at Dos Lagos transports you instantly to a lively south of the border fiesta! Rustic wrought iron doors lead you into an indoor courtyard straight out of a Mexican pueblo! A warm fireplace comforts and lends a homestyle welcome. Festive decor and a large Sun chandelier add to the truly Mexican ambiance. Rich with color and vibrant hues, this is a dining experience you won't want to miss!
Mexican flavor blended with a fun California touch! The owner Maria and her son Javier happened to be there during our visit, which shows the amount of dedication the family invests into their restaurants. To this day, Maria makes her Molé sauce from a family recipe handed down for generations using 24 ingredients! And I know personally no good molé can be made with less! Everything looked fresh, clean, and delicióso!
My friends and I ordered the sizzling Chicken Fajitas (huge portions and sides and generous on the guacamolé!), the Sonora Roll (tender pork!), Baja Cali (sauteéd) and Baja Cabo (flash-fried) Fish Tacos, and the famous Miquel's Chile Rellenos (like homemade!). And to toast?...I had the original "Caliente" Margarita shaken with serrano chiles! My new Favorite Cocktail!
The patio has a breathtaking view of the Lagos--perfect spot to get away from daily stresses and relax with your margarita by the water!
There is a one-of-a-kind Lounge inside of Miguel's called Aqua which is a great place for friends enjoy some margaritas made with the good stuff: 100% Blue Agave Tequila. You'll definitely find me here on Sundays for Brunch!!
