I was a member of National Fitness in Sevierville, TN and finished my three year term. Last month in February, I emailed the main branch in Knoxville to receive information to cancel my membership. I received an email giving my the address, and that was all. Nothing else stating the cancellation letter had to be certified. It's a month later and they have charged my debit card yet again and mysteriously do not show any correspondence by email or mail. They have not received my letter and show that I'm still active. The representative I spoke with on the phone was rude and would not let me speak with a manager. She stated that from the time they receive the certified letter, it will be thirty days until my membership is cancelled and my card will be charged again. This is outrageous and unprofessional. No one is willing to correct this problem. I have not used their facility in several months. I do NOT recommend this gym to anyone because of the terrible cancellation process and the lack of intergrity of their representatives to provide quality customer service. more
