We started outside with a cocktail which was great - the view, the activity, the service were all great. We moved inside because it was a bit too windy. The manager heard the hostess inform us that no tables were available. He smoothly stepped in and guided us to the only open cocktail table available. We decided to have an appetizer and then head off to another restaurant for dinner but before that could happen, the manager returned to say he found us a dinner table. Nice. That is where the good part ends. We had a dozen oysters that were mediocre at best. They were served with a vinegar dressing and raw horseradish - no crackers or cocktail sauce to be found. OK, I'm game for non-traditional, new ideas but the server should have informed us. I did not like the vinegar dressing and at $30/doz, I would never order them again. I skipped the salad but my guests were disappointed with theirs. The main course was flavorful but very small. Our server was lacking any knowledge about the food or menu. When she suggested the Montreal oysters, I asked what the difference was between those and the other selection of New England oysters. Her response was, ""Those are the ones I'm recommending."" Then she tried to explain the Tyson's Feature: The ""chef?s culinary tour from start to finish Our servers will inform you daily"" was how the menu described it. I assumed that this was their version of a price fixe selection. The server's description made no sense and by the time she finished I had no interest at all. It was awkward. Overall, it was way overpriced for way too little food. I left hungry and broke. I don't know about you but I expect exceptional service when I visit an expensive restaurant. When chain restaurants like Bonefish and Carrabbas make you feel more special than the ""upscale"" establishment, something is missing.
