I was hesitant to try a play care setting for my newly socialized pitbull mix when she needed grooming - but from now on, I'll never take her anywhere else but Petropolitian. On a friends recommendation (thanks Sandra & Stella), I took Ruby in and explained her level of socialization and personality - not only did they not scoff at her breed type (very rare these days!!!), they listened and paid attention to Ruby's comfort level before assigning her to a play group. I am by no means a dog expert, but I have invested a lot of time training and sociaizing my dog - which makes it very easy to reconize other 'dog people'. They know dogs, they listen to your concerns and needs & do a fabulous job grooming. When I came to pick Ruby up, she was happy, calm, and as soft as cotton! That afternoon, in the elevator, a neighbor who had never pet Ruby before, commented on how well behaved she was, reached down to pet her & raved about how soft and shiny her coat was! It usually takes a while for strangers to warm up to my Ruby Roo, so the best compliment I can extend actually came from a relative stranger! Overall great experience!
