Still don't like it, but it's slightly better. 2/10/2009

First of all, I am not affiliated with any Indian restaurant. I went back to Curry House last weekend because I was in the area and was hungry for some Indian food. I thought I'd give it a chance. Fortunately, the guy to whom I refered in my previous review was not there. This time, the service was quite good, but the food was still mediocre (by the way, this was the lunch buffet, not off the menu). The goat, chicken, and dal were all really tomato-ey tasting...more so than any tomato based Indian dish should be. The sambar was excellent, and the chicken biryani was good too. One thing that was quite annoying was that it was only about half full, and they kept running out of plates, dishes, and silverware, but in fairness, it was about 2:00 and they probably had a busy lunch that day. Farv, I do not go to Indian restaurants for wings, chili chicken, wine tastings, happy hour, or kareoke. I go for good Indian food. If they have those other things, then that's just fine, but it doesn't make up for mediocre food. Again, I am in no way affiliated with any Indian restaurant. I encourage people to go try any place...maybe it will suit your palate. Pros: Good sambar Cons: For the most part, same as before. more
