My boyfriend and I had been searching high and low for the perfect engagement setting. We finally drove up to Philly from Baltimore one day and found it at Barsky's. It was PERFECT. We couldn't afford to purchase it that day so we wrote down the stock number and decided to come back at another time. In the meantime, my boyfriend called them a week later, had them put the setting aside and even put a deposit on it. When he went back this weekend to purchase it, he found out that they had sold it!!! On top of all this, the setting was a very good price, right in our budget. They told him that they could possibly make the setting again, but that since Platinum prices have gone up, they might not be able to honor the price we had been quoted. I am absolutely irate with them for doing this to us. I can't believe that a company who has been in business for 100+ years (so they tell everyone) would treat one of its customers this way. It's unbelievable. We are now back to square one and having to continue our search for another perfect setting. I'm so upset. So if you plan on putting a deposit on something and going back for it at a later time, you might want to think twice. Thanks a lot Barsky. You guys suck.
