They weren't upfront about seating 10/5/2009

My wife and I attended the Rob Thomas concert at the Verizon. It was our first time at Verizon but we are a fairly experienced at this. When I bought tickets for $63 each online it gave me a row G26 and 2 seats;12 and 13. It even threatened I would lose my 2 seats when I went to get my credit card to pay. Printed out my tickets and showed up at 7:40 for the 8:00 show. The lady who looked at my tickets said ""You are going to be surprised"". Didn't know what she meant until we rounded the corner and saw the crowd all standing in front of the stage. Not one single seat. When I went to the front door to see if I could upgrade my tickets the Supervisor told me there was no re-entry if I left. I told her my intentions and she looked at my ticket and said it shows GAFloor right on my ticket. What part about floor didn't I understand. I told her the part about Row 26 and seat 12. Seat meant a place to put your seat. She disagreed. Said I could not re-enter if I left. Went back to my wife and the lady who had checked my ticket told me people left all the time if you were going to your car or the ATM. You just unscan your ticket to leave and re scan to return. Had the tickets been $35, or said SRO, I would have worn more comfortable shoes or just declined to go. Everyone around us was complaining. Not sure what we could have done to prevent this. It was simply management taking advantage in my opinion. Won't be returning to Verizon for sure. Rob Thomas was great. Pros: Intimate arena Cons: No seat more
