And our bartender was a bitchy nightmare. She saw us walk up to the bar, did not acknowledge us, and walked away to finish whatever she was doing with the olives or the mint or whatever else she could find to put off the inevitable of asking us what we wanted to drink. When she finally came back towards us I greeted her with a friendly hello, how are you to which I got no response. We dared to order our drinks despite the scowl on her face. For the remainder of the evening, she didn't ask us once if we wanted another drink, despite our prominently displayed empty glasses. She seemed more preoccupied with discussing boys and hair salons with the other bartenders than doing her job. There a are lot of great dive bars in New York that will treat you like crap for half the price.
