The service department of Shawnee Mission Hyundai is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. I called ahead to find out what they would charge for a 60,000 mile maintenance visit. On the phone, I was told $1,000, which seemed steep. When I took the car in, I was told $1500, which was just plain outrageous. I asked for a computer print-out of what was included in the $1500, which Tobey, the service consultant, said he could not provide. Instead, he wrote it all down on a piece of notebook paper, which seemed very unprofessional to me and left lots of room for price inflation. I called around to three other Hyundai dealerships who quoted me $800 to $900 for the same maintenance visit.

Cons: Not ethical, inflated prices
