skip the lunch special 1/29/2009

I had lunch here the other day, and to be honest, it was mainly the $7.99 special that caught my attention. Don't bother! You get what you pay for. The lunch special came with some type of nondescript soup. I honestly can't tell you what it was, but it had veggies in it. I chose the lamb kebab for entree (there are 10 or so to choose from) and was sadly dissapointed. The plate came with a pear sized samosa, that had just about 2 tablespoons of potato stuffing in it, a pile of recycled frozen veggies from last night's dinner with a little curry sauce and the kebab...two pieces of overcooked lamb burger the smaller than breakfast sausages. The nan was so greasy it was inedible. My rice pudding dessert was slammed onto the table five minutes after the meal arrived, so I knew they were done with me. \r The best part of the meal was the order of papadams I began with...the two chutneys served with them were delightful...I was so hopeful for the rest of the meal, but sadly disappointed!\r Funny thing-there was a woman sitting behind me from Creative Loafing...she went on and on about how good her meal was...I had to wonder if we were eating in the same restaurant, or had she never had Indian food before? Pros: nice looking place, must be better at dinner to have been around 30 years Cons: lunch specials are horrid, entrance is dodgy from Peachtree unless you head to the mall more
