Great Asian Fusion on a budget!

Friday, January 16, 2009
Republic is a Asian fusion restaurant- meaning don't expect traditional Chinese food. If you want that, then go to Chinatown. Be warned: drink refills are NOT free ; and you're charged a lot for sodas in small glasses. The spicy beef broth noodle soup is a favorite of mine. If you do not like cilantro, warn your waiter. Service tends to be spotty for my visits: prime time hours, wait staff are pretty busy and don't pay enough attention to you. I've taken several friends here and they leave pretty happy with the dishes. I would encourage the management to work on waiter service and walk around asking customers about their experiences, it *definitely* needs improvement. Pros: Fusion dishes, value for your money, fast delivery of food to table after ordering Cons: Too loud (please add something to the walls), wait staff not too attentive.
