Much better than mixed reviews

Service perfectly fine, food excellent. Desserts probably only good. But the amuse (strawberry soup with cucumber foam) very good and not too sweet. Appetizers legitimately great. Not too hard with tomatoes and mozzarella, but the pickled peaches were a revelation. I'd go back for that alone. Arctic char and steamed lobster both really good. Desserts fine, but didn't live up to earlier food. Prices normal for fancy NYC place, I thought. So cocktails $12 and desserts $9, not $15 and $12. And very civilized, tables well-spaced, room to walk in on a MOnday night...
