Dr. Watkins is one of the few honest dentists left out there not trying to ""up-sell"" you or recommend unnecessary treatments. Case in point. I went to a dentist back in 2004. I was told I had 13 cavaties and he took picturers of each and projected them onto a tv monitor so I could see for myself. After being told by the front desk that it was going to cost approx $500 more than what insurance was going to cover, I held off and went to a different dentist 2 years later. That dentist told me I had 11 cavaties (so 2 magically disappeared) and that my old silver fillings were loose/leaking and that those needed to be replaced by new ceramic ones which would be built on some sort of CAD machine. Much to my surprise this time it was going to cost $1500 out of pocket. So, again, I held off going to the dentist for another 2 years (yes, shame on me). I was recommended to Dr. Watkins by a friend of mine. After the hygentist did a great job cleaning my teeth, Dr. Watkins came in and looked at my x-rays, looked at my teeth and said, ""see you in 6 months"". I said, what about all my cavities? He and the hygentist said ""what cavaties?"" I had a few tiny spots which had not broken through the enamel, so there was no point in doing any drilling or ""filling"" anything at the moment. I then told him I was told previously that my silver fillings were ""loose/leaking"". He laughed and he, ""if you're fillings are leaking or loose, trust me, you won't need anybody to tell you, you'll feel it. Way too many Dr.'s and Dentists these days are having to pay for expensive equipment and having to ""up-sell"" people. It's unfortunate but from my experience true. As such, i give Dr. Watkins my HIGHEST recommendation and hope people looking for a dentist or even a second opinion will consider him.
