I recently stayed at the Fairfield Inn to check out the area for a tour group I have. The staff was very helpful pointing out things to do and restaurants nearby. They even took me in the hotel shuttle to the health club down the street that they are members of. The gym was really great and even had indoor batting cages. Rooms were nice and large. They said that they had just completed a renovation so everything was basically new. I've stayed at other area hotels and I have to say this was a really enjoyable experience and a nice choice for the budget traveler. Also, you get free breakfast and they had a waffle maker which is always an extra plus in my book. I really don't have any complaints and plan to go back soon with my group.
Pros: free parking, internet and breakfast
Cons: pool was outdoors which might not be great for Vermont winters
