We lived at Fullerton Townhomes on Highland Ave., managed by Anza Management Co. for little over a year. We thought we would be there for a long time, so made over $1500 in improvements. We reported mold & dirt in the bathrooms to the Manager, Sherry, but nothing was done about it so we paid Groutzilla $695 to regrout & clean both baths & the filthy, chipped kitchen tile counters. We put in a beautiful bathroom faucet, new light fixture, handles on cabinets in kitchen, medicine cabinets, & even repaired the 4"" cracks in the concrete on the patio & added Malibu lights, concrete steps & colored gravel. Oh yes, how stupid we were!! When ants invaded our guests during the night in their bed, that was it!! We luckily found a beautiful place with all new upgrades, granite, wainscoating, new stainless appliances & for less money. When Anza was to return our $500 deposit, they kept more than half of it for repairs which included cleaning the vertical blinds. We only used the open/close cords & never touched the blinds unless they fell off the track. They lcharged almost $50 to clean these and we complained & felt that should be routine maintenance, not at our cost. We sent a list of all the improvements we made & included pictures of the baths with the mold & dirt but they didn't even give us the courtesy to respond. We didn't expect to have reimbursement for the improvements we made but did expect to be repaid for cleaning the blinds! It was a matter of principal, but that doesn't appear to be one of their attributes. I certainly don't recommend Fullerton Townhomes to anyone. Pros: Close to local businesses Cons: Very old and not upgraded more
