If there was a Zero Star "run-the-other-way" category, I'd use it for our friends at DHL. I ordered some products 2nd day air from Fry's that should have been delivered today. So, I wandered out to DHL's tracking site to find that there was an unspecified address problem. I called their customer service department who, eventually, transferred me to the local DHL station - where they claimed that my address couldn't be found on Google maps. "How odd", I replied, "not only did I find it on the first try at Google AND Yahoo, but YOU managed to find it the last time you delivered here." (...albeit after 4 days of doing the "signature required dance" - another story loaded with horrible customer service) Suffice it to say, I've let Fry's and Dell both know that I won't be buying anything from them as long as they are using DHL as the only available shipping method. As someone who was in the shipping industry for 10 years, I can't stress enough the importance of registering a complaint with the vendors who use less-than-professional companies for their shipping needs - there's always a tipping point where the money saved isn't worth the customer ill will earned.
