I knew I wanted an antique/estate ring for both ethical and aesthetic reasons, but Isadoras only had 2 or 3 rings that I liked and were anywhere near our price range (under $2000). We found that Alana's had a great selection of beautiful rings in our range, and many that were in fact under $1000 or even $500. I love the ring I got there.
The bad part was that , although the saleswoman (Emalee) was very kind and attentive, she would not let us look at more than one ring at a time above the glass. After I had picked out about 7 rings that I liked and she'd put them together, the only way I could compare them was by looking at them through the glass! I thought there was no way I could choose one that way. Eventually she let me look at 2 at a time, and then I could try one on each ring finger, and this way I was able to choose my ring.
Pros: Great selection & prices of estate jewelry
Cons: security was too high to easily compare the rings
